AUT is the second largest university in New Zealand. We have been a university since 2000, but a place of learning for 120 years and operate in accordance with
the Education Act (1989).
AUT has three campuses around Auckland: in the city, Manukau and on the North Shore. Campus buses link these locations, providing an easy way to get between classes and facilities.
In the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2019, AUT is ranked in the 301-350 band, a significant improvement from last year and the third consecutive year that AUT has
moved up in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings.We are the third highest ranked university in New Zealand. In the Asia-Pacific University Ranking 2019, AUT is ranked
as number 51.

Scholarships are available to assist international students to study at AUT in New Zealand through the NZAID programme.
New Zealand International Doctoral Research Scholarships
Funded by the New Zealand Government and administered by Education New Zealand, the New Zealand International Doctoral Research Scholarships offer a significant educational
opportunity. The scholarships provide financial support for students from designated countries undertaking doctoral degrees by research in New Zealand universities. Scholarships are
awarded on the basis of academic merit. Applications close on 15th July each year.
